Being able to capture Paul & Kristal's big day was great for a couple of reasons (well, MANY more than that...lol). Selfishly, it was nice for me to be able to go back to the city I called home for 5 years; a period I believe was crucial in my growth as a person, as well as a culturally enlightening experience for a guy from a small town in South Carolina. “It was such a beautiful day for a wedding at the Duchman Winery in Driftwood, Texas. Lauren and Paul had so many family and friends travel thousands of miles to share in this moment. Though the humidity was beating us all down by the end of the day, these two, as well as their wedding party, didn't allow the Texas heat to take away from their excitement of the special day. I first met up with Nate and Tessia at Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard in February. I had such a wonderful time hearing about how they met, what their lives have been like, and of course their amazing engagement in which Nate proposed on Machu Picchu in Peru in the middle of a two week hike. I've been eager for this day ever since! As excited as I was, I believe Nate came into the big day just a tad more excited, as Tessia said he yelled out the window the night before..."I'm getting married tomorrow!!!" I love it. These two are such a great pair. Their families are awesome and seriously such great hosts. I am thankful for such great folks to work with and for the opportunity to have done so. After shooting Meghan's bridals in June, I couldn't wait to take part in she and Ethan's big day. These two are such wonderful people and it was an absolute pleasure spending the day with them. The day started with a groomsmen breakfast at the home of Ethan's parents (it was so yummy!!), where I was able to get to know Ethan and meet his awesome family, as well as his buddies from high school. The day then shifted to Meghan's home for bridesmaids prep. These girls were all such a joy to be around and very easy going. I absolutely loved the floral kimono gowns the girls wore. Allie and Stephen, where do I start? These two were such a blast to work with. Their love for one another was so evident every moment I got to spend with them. They chose Woodlawn Plantation in Guyton, GA as the venue for their wedding. I enjoyed the Savannah landscape and enormous oaks draping with Spanish moss. Stephen was such a fun groom to work with...constant one-liners and an adamant desire to take a photo using "finger guns." Awesome couple with a beautiful family. Thank you for the opportunity!
