The Island House | Johns Island, SC (Bryce & Megan)

“Bryce and I first met back in 2019 after we swiped right on Tinder. We exchanged a few messages and decided to meet each other for dinner. At first, I didn’t know if I wanted to meet Bryce in person just because I feared it wasn’t going to work out (I’m sure whoever has used the dating app Tinder would understand). I ended up telling myself “why not” all while I had a gut feeling that I needed to go on this date. Little did I know, it would be the best decision I ever made.

We ended up going to a restaurant called Stars in downtown Charleston. We had the best time getting to know each other, and at the end of our first date, we both decided to delete our Tinder apps. We immediately set up our second date that very next day. After those two dates, we became inseparable. For a while, we both kept a running secret with our families that we met through “mutual friends.” We both agreed that we were supposed to meet that random Monday night. Since then, we have shared and created some of the best memories. We have enjoyed traveling together, boating together, spending time with friends and family, and overall enjoy being in each other’s presence. But one of my favorite memories in particular is the day that Bryce asked me to marry him. I had no ounce of doubt that we were meant to live this life together, so it was the easiest “yes” I have ever said.

He is the best person to come home to everyday and I will always cherish our laughter and the love that we share. We were so over the moon for our wedding day, and it was equally the best day of our lives. Also, on our wedding day, Bryce’s gift to me was a framed receipt from our first date from dinner at Stars. It definitely will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the beginning of our story.”
